Vajra Farm Botanicals is one group of value added products produced by Vajra Farm in North East Kansas. Vajra Farms owner's vision is to provide alternative health products that have substantiated value as nutritional and medicinal aids for those who subscribe to a holistic and balanced life-style. We are dedicated to the formulation and manufacture of the highest quality herbal nutritional and medicinal products. It is our aim to create reasonably priced products while using fresh herbs that are organically grown or ecologically wildcrafted. Our herbs are grown in our own gardens under the supervision of the farm owner, a trained botanist and natural product chemist. The plants are unsprayed and unfumigated and when possible, processed the same day that they are harvested. Where we have used wildcrafted herbs, they are ecologically and sustainably harvested by our farm helpers only. None of the herbs are purchased by third party independent distributors who are unable to control the quality of their products.
Vajra Farm Products
Our herbal extracts are prepared in a scientifically proven two-part process. In the first step, the water soluble constituents are extracted and filtered. The plant pulp (marc) is further extracted with alcohol or a mixture of alcohol and water to obtain a fraction rich in essential oils and other important natural products. These two fractions are then combined in the proportion that maximizes the availability of vitally active constituents. All fluid extracts are prepared with high quality grain alcohol and highly purified water. Vajra Farm Botanicals is committed to maintaining quality and consistence in its products and is developing current good manufacturing practice (GMP) and good agricultural (GAP) programs for assuring the high quality in all its new products.
Echinacea Fluid Extract, 2 oz. This product is formulated from only the fresh living plant species. Extractions are made from predominantly the whole plant of Echinacea purpurea, and specially selected fresh roots of Echinacea angustifolia and Echinacea pallida roots. This extract is specially formulated to provide the maximum quantity of immunologically active phytomelanins, polysaccharides, as well as essential oils. Ginkgo Fluid Extract, 2 oz. This extract is prepared from the fresh and desiccated leaves of mature Ginkgo biloba trees. The leaves are autumn harvested when they just begin to change color and their active ingredients are at optimal levels. The leaves are then carefully washed partially desiccated and extracted using a process which maximizes the yield of the active bioflavones and essential oils. Wild Cherry Cough Syrup, 2 oz. This is a specially blended extract of Wild Cherry bark and the juice from fresh cherries harvested from organically grown Prunus serotina trees. Freshly pressed cherry juice is mixed 40:1 with a cherry bark extract prepared in 1:2 ratio of bark to menstrum. The extract is then combined with grain alcohol (40%), honey, ascorbic acid (5 mg/ml) and orange oil. Price: $12.00
Milk Thistle Fluid Extract, 1 oz. This extract is made from summer harvested Silybum marianum (dark) seed. The seeds are collected from wild plants native to the US pacific coast. The plants are harvested in mid-summer when they are actively blooming and possesses the highest concentration of the bioactive components, hypericin and hyperforin.
